Learn how to create a beautiful rainbow coloured homemade card that’s perfect for a loved one. I’ve listed the supplies we used at the bottom of the article.
This is a simple but super cute, cheap and a lovely sentimental keepsake for that special recipient. It’s also a pretty quick activity too, especially when you’re trying to keep a little-one’s attention.
I’ve done lots of these for relatives too, some have ended up being framed which is a nice keepsake.
How to create handprint card
I used water soluble paint and worked quickly as my toddlers patience is short.
- Have all the paint measured out on a palette or dish ready to go.
- Hold little one’s hand steady, paint on their hand in stages
- Ideally if you’ve got a couple of brushes it does make it a lot quicker. If not use damp kitchen roll to quickly wipe the excess before moving onto the next colour.
- Stamp onto a card when ready, et voila….

I love the finished product.
