Always wanted to try do something a little bit different than painting a loved one a picture onto paper? This mixed media tutorial on fabric is going to be great for you and can be used for birthdays, holidays, gifts. Special and unique no two will be the same. I will be launching a limited run of these on Etsy, you can give it a follow here.

Tutorial
- Cut fabric to size and iron.
- Using Heat Friction Pens I drew the outline of a heart. Using chunky wool I sewed this to my fabric to create my outline. You could glue this on or paint the heart outline if you didn’t want to do any sewing.
- Use washi tape to section off your heart into a pattern you like
- Use pens or paints to fill in the spaces you have created. You can use any paint on canvas however if it isn’t fabric paint you will need to add fabric medium. I use about equal parts medium in with the paint.
- Remove the washi tape when the paint was nearly dry.
